Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Member - Mars Hill
Marshall "Mars" Hill – Energy, Public Utilities
Caribbean born West Indian by way of Trinidad. Adopted and raised in Houston, Texas, Marshall proudly served United States Navy post Desert Storm (1992-1995). He was awarded an undergraduate degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Analytics and membership in Sigma Alpha Pi, with a qualified certification in Leadership and Professional Development.
He has over twenty-five years in the public energy utility sector as a field technician leaning heavily on safety, leadership and accountability. Lastly, his devotion and affirmation of faith in God is paramount. In his spare time his interests are traveling, comedy, and visual arts.
Vice President and Board Member - Valda Dewitt
Valda Dewitt - Director, HR at Yunifire LLC
Valda is a experienced Human Resources Director with a wide range of experience ranging from public to private sector. Most recently she worked in the office of Senator Borris Miles as a Community Liaison. Valda also has extensive ties into local and state agencies via her prior work with the City Of Houston and State Of Texas as HR Director within those entities. Valda also worked in overseas for KBR in a similar HR role. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Prarie View A&M University.
Valda enjoys various activities outside of work, including time spent with her family and travel to various destinations.
President and Board Member - Sean Joseph
Sean Joseph – Owner, Yunifire LLC
Sean is the owner of Yunifire LLC, a full-service software consulting company and is the President of The Prime Example, Inc.
He was previously nominated and served as a Board member and co-director of social media of the Technology Alumni Association (TAA) from 2019-2022 at the University of Houston where he graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. During the calendar year of 2022-2023, he served as Student Outreach coordinator for TAA, participating in events such as Career Fairs, back to campus events, and coordinating alumni attendance for a virtual student event hosted by UH. Outside of work, he enjoys University of Houston sports, the Astros/Rockets/Texans, and spending time with his wife, children, and family.
